Museum artefacts come in a seemingly limitless range of shapes, colours, sizes and materials, all of which pose challenges when trying to create 3D models. The Victoria & Albert Museumin London has tested a variety of 3D scanners and software to discover how best to create high-quality 3D models of different types of artefacts. Knowledge from these experiments will be shared with others who work within cultural heritage, helping them to plan their own 3D documentation - for conservation, research, display and more.

3D-COFORM promotes state-of-the-art 3D tools and expertise within the cultural heritage sector, and unites specialists from across Europe.
